We thought we'd get our feet wet on the issue of window installation by starting at the basement level. Lars needed to teach us a bunch of tricks and nickel-know-how. He's real finicky about getting it just exactly right, even when it takes longer than anyone has patience for ... so some suffering was endured by all. But the job is done right and isn't that the most important thing?
It was very exciting to see the big door/window combination go in ... it is along an ample corridor between Chris' shop and office that will be quite dramatic eventually.
The electricians finished up this stage of their work and left a nice mess for us to clean up ... see all the yellow wires poking out of the kitchen wall? The last picture shows our "keeping-up-with-Dom" chicken feeder propane heater at work in our own now warm lunch spot in the basement.
