The roofers are on the job installing the "standing seam" metal roof in this lovely shade of dark charcoal. It will take a while to get the task done, but boy, oh boy, it will be nice when it is done. Lars is back with us for a while ... he has an uncanny and much appreciated ability to get his Dad on track and calmed down.

The days are getting pretty darn cold here, but we have a warm place to hang out for lunch if we so desire over at Dom's place (next door). He's got a portable propane heater that looks pretty much like an old fashioned chicken feeder ... I suspect a similar unit is in our future. Chris and Lars went shopping for some heavy duty warm overalls ... they tell me that the overalls are a god-send in creature comfort.

Another group of guys are on the job site stringing electric wiring all over the place, and this week the house was actually hooked up to power and we have a box and two live plugs. Pretty cool, huh?

To top off a great week, Chris best friend from Pennsylvania and many years running, Jeff Craig, came calling and that was wonderful for all of us.
