The last push to get the last window in place was just before we were due to leave for California to spend the Xmas/birthday holiday with Krispin. The weather was BITTER and it was a real struggle ... but Chris and Evan persevered (in slow motion) and got the job done.

Evan made a nifty temporary movable staircase so we can get upstairs without risking life and limb while we are working. There is no floor up there yet, so it's still a bit treacherous ... but we'll get to that soon.

Here we are with Krispin at Disney headquarters in Burbank. We were treated to the super duper special behind the scenes tour of the animation studios where Krispin works. Security was very tight and we had to be labeled with a visitor's pass and behave ourselves in an exemplary fashion ... that last part was difficult. Disney Animation is currently riding the wave of their latest release called Tangled.

California is a very different place from Colorado and we were hit in the face with severe culture shock. There were flowers blooming everywhere and I even picked some bright yellow lemons right off a tree ... and there were orange trees all over the place just dripping with ripe fruit. I had knitted Krispin some socks for his birthday (Dec. 24) which he dutifully wore for a full day, except for the part when we walked on the beach in Santa Monica and met the Pacific ocean toe to surf. We had a great time and are now up to speed on Krispin's world in L.A.
