Happy Valentines Day!

We continue to toil away ... are in a bit of a warm spell for a few days it seems ... above freezing by a nice margin. Most of the work at this point is not visually fascinating. Electrical wires and boxes. Framing and more framing. Infrastructure in other words. Below is Evan advancing the cause of the master bathroom ... he's creating the upper part of our future shower.

I do have to include a symbolic photo of all the miles of electrical wires strung around the whole house ... the electricians are a very focused team. I think the electrical inspector comes later today. We also need a final framing inspection after which we can close in all the walls. A good many of the wires terminate at either a light fixture outlet (like the ones in the kitchen ceiling below) or a normal wall plug outlet.

Both Chris and I are wearing the same clothes over and over and over ... they are on their way to being thoroughly destroyed. Chris' sweater was a nice birthday gift from his mother a million years ago and my beloved jacket belonged to my father. We both had to bite the bullet and get solid winter boots ... they served us well in a long hike yesterday up through the woods where the sun hadn't smiled yet and the snow was about a foot deep everywhere. It was so luxurious to have toasty feet. :-)

Oh, yes, and it is Valentines Day ... to observe the occasion I made this "Princess" cake covered in marzipan (a real Princess cake has green marzipan and is not heart shaped). Some friends are coming over tonight to help us decimate it.
