We are happily awol from house building for the next two weeks ... Chris' sister Lisa greeted us at Honolulu airport with fragrant leis and warm hugs and we are totally agog at the warmth and the greenery and the FLOWERS! I did feel a bit out of place arriving in my ankle length down coat ... but I needed it at 3:30 in the morning when we started our trip from a hotel in Colorado Springs (having crossed the mountains the night before to shave 2 hours from the ride to the airport in Denver for the 7 AM flight). Our son Lars is in charge of the building project back in Salida with our right hand man Evan. We are aiming to just relax and fuzz out, totally at the mercy of whatever Lisa wants us to experience here in her new home (she moved here from Pennsylvania at the same time that we moved to Colorado).

Aloha Hawaii!!
