Lars and Evan knocked off a long list of minor and major tasks while we were gone (mostly non-photogenic detail type things). In our absence, the roof finally got
finished! The odd thing at the top right near the peak is the beginnings of a chimney which will contain three flues eventually. The base and joists for the front wood storage porch was completed, as was the rear covered porch. I don't think we have yet decided whether we will use real old fashioned wood or some synthetic for the actual decking. Below is a glamour shot of the south side of the completed roof (the small connector to the as yet non existent garage/workshop section has to wait for it's roof until the shop is built).
The master bath's behind the scenes and inside the wall components are all finished now. Soon we'll get to tiles and toilets and the bathtub etc. All that stuff is on order so it is in the pipeline.
One of Evan's hobbies is writing songs and sharing with others. Here he is doing his 15 minutes at the local coffee shop at one of their "open mike" evenings.
