We took a detour to see some cliff dwellings in Manitou Springs when we went to pick up two toilets and bathroom tile at Lowe's in Colorado Springs. These dwellings were moved from the Mesa Verde area and reassembled here by preservation minded folks back in the early 1900s when the buildings were threatened by dynamiting by artifact robbers before there were rules about such dastardly things.
Back on task ... Chris spent several days solving the problem of how to get humid air from the basement shower to an exterior wall ... researching ducting and blowers and such ... he was delighted when he finally arrived at the exterior exhaust vent. Then it was time to start assembling the SIP panels for the workshop/garage which had been sitting under tarps all winter while we worked on the house. A study of the plans is always smart before one jumps in.
INSTANT walls! Very satisfying indeed. The three boys were doing this on a very windy day so it is lucky there were no casualties among the SIPs.
This is the current status of Chris' shop or "man cave." The odd roof angles will make sense after we get up the roof panels and the clerestory with three windows over the garage doors. There are roof trusses to make before we can go further and Chris is furiously researching glues after he found out that the glue he had ordered was on indefinite backorder.
