The form for the foundation is almost finished and the guys expect to pour concrete day after tomorrow. The crew working in our big hole is top notch and they finished this part of the task quicker than expected. Apparently our soil is some of the best they have ever encountered ... meaning no big unexpected boulders got in the way and slowed things down (apparently most jobs around here normally yield lots of giant boulders as soon as you open the ground up), plus we have a good mix of clay which compacts really well they said. They have been very pleased so far. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the good luck holds out. That odd shaped picture at the top is a composite of four images stitched together by the computer to give a panoramic view of the job site. So far, Chris and I have only observed the proceedings, but soon we will be getting dirty along with the guys.
