Our 35 acre portion of Eureka Ranch is open range, which means we share it with a small herd of cows, or cattle as they say out here. Sometimes you have to wait a bit while the four legged guys figure out where they are going. So now we have window frame rough openings in the basement and supports are being installed to keep the Nudura ICF blocks from caving in or leaning under the weight of the millions (!) of pounds of cement that will be poured into them probably next week. A couple more courses of block has to be positioned, which is why scaffolding was installed today, because those walls are getting pretty high. Chris and I are keeping ahead of the blocks with our electrical conduits ... we spent a couple of hours this evening up at the job site getting ahead of the guys for tomorrow. Other important tasks include cleaning up debris and stacking it in the trailer for removal as well as simply sitting on one of the several mounds of dirt and just observing the work going on ... and dreaming of the finished house.
